NEBOSH International Certificate Course Overview
The course includes 65 taught hours and approximately 40 hours of private study and background reading. Equivalent to an A-Level on the National Qualification Framework, the course consists of two units.
IG1 – Management of health and safety

How the course is assessed
IG1 is assessed via an open book exam, which is administered on-line & must be completed during a set 24-hour window. IG2 is a risk assessment carried out in the learner’s workplace. Learners receive an overall refer, pass, credit or distinction grade following their open book examination and a pass grade for the practical assessment.
Pre-requisites
There are no mandatory qualification entry requirements for this qualification; however, learners should consider that this is a professional-level qualification. NEBOSH strongly recommends that learners have a suitable standard of English to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.
