IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management (AIEMA) - E-Learning Extra
IEMA’s Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management course gives you a foundation of environmental knowledge and is the perfect way to show that you have the knowledge and skills to begin your career in sustainability. This course leads directly to IEMA Associate Membership.
By studying this course via eLearning Extra you get all the flexibility of eLearning, but with the structured support from a tutor via a live webinar. The webinar will take place virtually and is designed so that you can ask questions, share ideas and best practice, and participate in live discussions.
Webinar attendance significantly supports learners in preparing for open book examinations. Students who study via eLearning Extra typically complete courses quicker and with better first-time results.
There are 2-hour live webinars held quarterly for IEMA’s Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management course. You can register for sessions at your convenience – most learners attend one. All previous webinars are recorded so you can watch these on-demand.
The cost includes all required learner resources, registration, and exam fees. Additionally, included within the training course fee is a year's IEMA membership, which will commence upon enrolment.

Pre-requisites
There are no formal entry requirements for candidates seeking AIEMA status, although IEMA recommends that candidates have completed the Institute's foundation course in environment management or have an equivalent level of knowledge or experience. (6 months experience within a Sustainability or Environmental role)
Assessment
Assessment is via a 1 hour open-book online multiple-choice exam.
