City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Level 3
This four-day course at our Technology Hub in Aston, Birmingham provides delegates with a robust understanding of the IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2022 and how this standard applies to electrical installations. It is aimed at electricians and allied professionals, such as surveyors, consultants and trades, who need to update and enhance their understanding of The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) wiring regulations.
By completing the course, attendees will develop their skills and knowledge to the high national standard recognised by the electro-technical industry.

Course content
During the course the delegates will cover the following subject areas in.
- Scope, object and fundamental principles of BS 7671
- Definitions used within BS 7671
- General characteristics of electrical installations
- Protection for safety for electrical installations
- Selection and erection of equipment for electrical installations
- Inspection and testing of electrical installations
- Special installations or locations as identified in BS 7671
- Appendices to BS 7671
- On-line examination format, techniques and sample questions.
Pre-requisites
- Candidates must not be entered for a qualification of the same type, content and level as that of a qualification they already hold. There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this qualification, but it is expected that they will have a basic knowledge of electrical science.

Assessment
This is an open book assessment and learners will be allowed to take in a copy of the IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2022. Successful candidates will receive their award from City and Guilds.
