Manufacturing output and new order in-take held firm over the past quarter with companies expecting this positive picture to be sustained into the final months of this year, according to this major survey published by EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation and accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP.

Continued growth in the global economy continues to provide the backdrop for another quarter of positive survey readings from Britain’s manufacturers. Adding to this solid demand environment is the pick-up in domestic construction activity, providing a modest boost to domestic new orders.
