Earlier this year, Make UK, in partnership with PwC, published its 2024 Executive Survey looking at UK manufacturer's views about the UK as a competitive place to do business and optimism about the sector and prospects for the year ahead.

Manufacturers seemed to be backing this belief with investment in new products, expansion into new markets and acceleration of the use of new digital technologies to improve their business, boost operational efficiency, and increase their workforces’ productivity.

Now, six-months on from publication Make UK Chief Executive Stephen Phipson and PwC Partner and Head of Manufacturing and Automotive Cara Haffey sit down with journalist Jonty Bloom to discuss what is at the top of manufacturer's minds now that we have a new government and how optimistic is the sector about economic growth opportunities.
